Visitation will be held on Sunday November 26, 2017 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. at the Pulliam Funeral Home 302 E. Main St Oblong, IL.
A Celebration of Phyllis’s Life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, south of Annapolis, IL.
In lieu of flowers, her family request that an expression of sympathy may take the form of a contribution to the Oblong Schools Academic Foundation with envelopes at or may be mailed to Pulliam Funeral Home P.O. Box 121 Oblong, IL 62449
Phyllis Jean Weck passed peacefully from this life after 82 years on Wednesday November 22, 2017 after a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded by her family when she passed.
Phyllis was born on November 18, 1935 in Casey, IL to Harold and Thelma McKinzie. Phyllis graduated from Casey High School. She married Robert Lee Weck on December 27, 1957. Phyllis and Robert loved life on the farm growing crops as well as raising livestock, gardening and canning. Phyllis enjoyed water aerobatics and playing bingo with her friends.
Phyllis was preceded in death by both parents and her husband Robert.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Cindy and Mark Sherman of Pekin, IL; two sons and daughters-in-law Daniel and Lucy Weck of Annapolis, IL and David and Rose Weck of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; four grandchildren Kevin Sherman, Rachel Sherman, Sarah Weck and Emily Weck; her brother Robert McKinzie of Jacksonville, FL as well as several nieces and nephews
